About Midwest Dharma Wheel

Cary and Lee opened Midwest Dharma Wheel (formerly called Haymarket Studio) in Lincoln in May 2002 after leaving New York City, where they were immersed in the study and professional world of movement, yoga, dance, Pilates, Ayurveda, theater, bodywork, meditation, and Eastern contemplative practice.

Upon returning to Lincoln, they wanted to create a haven offering a personalized and wide-reaching approach to health, embodiment, and spiritual growth.

Midwest Dharma Wheel offers several areas to engage in growth and self-care.  In 2018 we relocated to our current home and have created a Contemplative & Healing Center. We are a registered Non-Profit 501(c)3.

If you would like to make a donation to our work, you can visit our Donate page.

We offer:

  • Support for physical health through various movement modalities, Yoga & Pilates, as well as the holistic tradition of Ayurveda.

  • Support for the personal growth of the individual, through mentoring or a weekly track of practice rooted in Jungian and Contemplative Spiritual Traditions.

  • Yearly contemplative practice retreats & lectures provide a container for personal growth. â€‹

Midwest Dharma Wheel is unique in its offerings as it is a container for the development of Wholeness. There is an unbroken thread that runs through all the aspects of what is offered here to provide a level of continuity that is rare to find today, supporting the integration of psyche, body, and spiritual growth according to the needs of the individual. Lee and Cary are committed to personal and authentic care for everyone who comes to work with them.

Our Mandala.jpg

The Mandala is an archetypal image whose occurrence is attested throughout the ages.

It signifies the Wholeness of the Self.
